Fall Nail Colours 2026: 5 Shades to Try | Hanny & Chuck

There’s a point in September when bright summer nails start to feel a little out of step with the sweaters coming out of the closet. Fall is a good excuse to change your manicure, but you don’t have to go straight to orange or Halloween art. This year, we’re reaching for deep reds, soft greens, rich browns, glossy black, and barely-there beige.

Here are five fall nail colours to try, plus Hanny & Chuck nail wraps that make each look easy to wear at home.

1. Black cherry

A deep cherry red feels right when you want colour without going bright. It works with denim and a knit on an ordinary Tuesday, then looks just as good dressed up for dinner. Short, softly squared nails give this shade a clean, classic look.

Try it with: Black Cherry Kiss semi-cured gel wraps for a darker, wine-toned manicure. These wraps need a UV/LED nail lamp to cure. For a brighter, classic red in a regular polish wrap, try Cherry Burst.

2. Soft green

Green doesn’t have to mean forest green. A muted shade with a cool edge feels fresh against autumn’s darker clothes and makes a nice change from the usual rust and mustard. Keep the rest of your manicure simple and let the colour do the work.

Try it with: Willow Mist, a soft, creamy green with mint and sage tones. It’s the lighter choice in this list, especially good if you’re easing into fall colours.

3. Cocoa brown

Brown has become a manicure staple for a reason: it goes with just about everything in a fall wardrobe. A rich cocoa shade looks especially good next to cream, olive, navy, or a favourite wool coat. If you usually choose nude nails, brown is an easy way to add more depth without switching to a bold colour.

Try it with: Shedua, a glossy cocoa brown with warm mahogany undertones. Wear it across every nail or use it as the solid colour alongside a fall accent design.

4. Glossy black

Black nails come back every fall, but they don’t need a Halloween costume to make sense. On short nails, a solid black manicure can look crisp and understated. On longer nails, it makes more of a statement. The glossy finish keeps it polished either way.

Try it with: Black Knight, our solid black Deluxe wraps. The set has 22 wraps in 11 sizes, so there’s room to find a comfortable fit across your nails.

5. Sheer beige

Some days, a nearly natural manicure is exactly what you want. A sheer beige works with everything and gives your nails a finished look while letting a little of your natural nail show through. It’s also a gentle break between darker fall manicures.

Try it with: Desert Mist (Sheer), a champagne-beige wrap with a subtle shimmer. It’s a good pick if you like a neutral manicure with a little glow.

How to make your fall nail wraps look their best

Whichever colour you choose, start with clean, completely dry nails. Push back your cuticles, wash away oils, and wipe each nail with alcohol or acetone before applying. Pick a wrap that’s slightly narrower than your nail so it doesn’t touch your skin. Press it down firmly, then file the excess downward at the tip. Our regular nail polish wraps don’t need a lamp or drying time; semi-cured gel wraps do need to be cured under a UV/LED nail lamp.

If you’re torn between two shades, try a rich colour now and save the sheer neutral for your next manicure. Fall is long enough for both.

Browse Hanny & Chuck’s autumn nail wraps and find a shade you’ll want to wear all season.
