What Does “10-Free” Mean for Nail Polish Wraps?

What Does “10-Free” Mean for Nail Polish Wraps?

If you’ve ever looked into nail products with clean beauty in mind, you’ve probably seen terms like 5-free, 7-free, or 10-free. These labels are meant to highlight formulations made without certain commonly excluded ingredients — but they can also raise questions about what those claims actually mean.

At Hanny & Chuck, we want to be clear and transparent about how our nail wraps are made, what we exclude, and what’s included. Rather than chasing bigger numbers or vague claims, we focus on accuracy and openness.

Here’s what 10-free means for our nail wraps.

What Does “10-Free” Mean?

In the nail industry, “10-free” typically refers to products formulated without ten ingredients that are commonly avoided in traditional nail polish.

While “free-from” labels aren’t regulated by a single governing body, 10-free has become a widely recognized benchmark when brands clearly define which ingredients they exclude.

For us, clarity matters more than buzzwords — so we spell it out.

How Our Nail Wraps Are Classified

Our nail wraps are best described as:

10-free, vegan, and cruelty-free — with full ingredient transparency.

Ingredients We Never Use

Our wraps are formulated without the following:

  • Formaldehyde

  • DBP (Dibutyl Phthalate)
